We are delighted to have completed our merger with ACACIA UK. ACACIA is another small, Oxfordshire-based charity that shares our vision to empower children and young people through education but has a specific focus on children living with developmental disabilities. We have been working in partnership with ACACIA since 2018 and such has been the success of the partnership that both boards agreed to proceed towards a full merger. As of 1st April 2021, all programme activity is being delivered by Rafiki Thabo on behalf of both charities, enabling greater programme depth, reach and impact, and we have combined the operations of both charities, meaning that efficiency gains have been made, enabling more money to go to where it is most needed. ACACIA has three wonderful charity shops in Oxfordshire and will now become the trading arm of Rafiki Thabo.
