Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025
This is your invitation to help us double the joy this Christmas by doubling your impact with every donation as we take part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge for the third year running!
Our campaign is raising funds to empower women and girls through education. Our target this year is £20,000: with your support we hope to meet (or exceed!) that, which will mean that we can pay for the entire secondary education of 20 girls in Uganda or for vocational training courses for 15 women in Kenya!
What is the Big Give Christmas Challenge?
The BGCC is the UK’s biggest match-funded campaign and a critical fundraising milestone in our calendar year.
For seven days only – 2nd to 9th December – this LIVE challenge week offers our supporters the opportunity to have their donations DOUBLED thanks to our Charity Pledger and our Champion Funder Coles-Medlock Foundation!
This means you get the joy of giving twice as much with every donation through the power of matched giving! So…
- £50 becomes £100 and can pay for half a year at secondary school for a vulnerable girl in Uganda.
- £100 becomes £200 and can cover the cost of a semester at vocational college in Kenya so that a young woman can learn skills and set up her own business.
- £500 becomes £1000 and will enable us to pay for 5 disadvantaged girls in Uganda to go to secondary for an entire year.
When is the campaign live?
Our campaign will be live from 12pm on 2nd December and runs until 12pm on Tuesday 9th December 2025.
Why do these women and girls need your support?
The sad reality is that in poverty-stricken families, girls are overlooked in favour of boys if there is any money at all to send a child to school. Girls face the prospect of early marriage and motherhood without an education. They have extremely limited opportunity to keep themselves safe and to raise themselves out of poverty.
This Christmas Challenge is your opportunity to help us help more women and girls to transform their futures and realise their dreams through the gift of education!
We are truly thankful to everyone who donated towards our Big Give appeal in 2024. Together we raised a formidable £16,458 during the campaign: this meant that we could pay for 16 girls living with disabilities to complete their entire secondary school education! What a remarkable difference this has made to their future life opportunities.

Every donation you make during the LIVE week 2-9 December, via the Big Give platform, will be doubled until our match funds are exhausted.
Just to be clear, donations made outside of this week, or donations not made via the Big Give website, will not be doubled – so please hold on to your money until we go live at 12pm on the 2nd of December and donate using the link below.
