Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024
We are so excited to have taken part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge this year! Last year, our wonderful supporters helped us double our efforts to improve access to education for children in Kenya, Uganda and Lesotho. This year our appeal was focussed on empowering girls with disabilities through education.
The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK’s biggest match-funded campaign. For seven days only, this challenge offered our supporters the opportunity to have their donations DOUBLED — and in doing so, make “DOUBLE the difference”!
Our campaign is NOW CLOSED. Together we had 7 days to raise donations and see them DOUBLE for twice the impact through match funding. Every donation you made during this week was doubled until our match funds were exhausted.
Our target this year was £15,000 which would mean that we could pay for the entire secondary education of 15 vulnerable girls or for 8 women to complete a vocational training qualification. Your support will help ensure that these girls and women will not be defined by their disability.
We are delighted to share that with your generous support, we not only met our target of £15,000 but once we added gift aid, the grand total jumped to a whopping £17,709!!!!
Now, thanks to the added gift aid, we can pay for 17 vulnerable girls or 9 women with disabilities to further their education. This is truly life-changing for them!

A huge thank you also to our partner school, Hampton Court House School and our ACACIA UK shop teams who held fundraising events for us during the week.
