Our Christmas newsletter is now available. We share our highlights of 2025 and are determined to bring a bit of good news and Christmas cheer at the end of what has felt like a year with an awful lot of bad news!
As 2025 draws to a close we are reflecting on all we have achieved, thanks to all our wonderful supporters.
At the end of a year which has seen devastating aid cuts (with education budgets being particularly hard hit) and an incredibly tough fundraising environment – tragically forcing so many small international development charities to close their doors – we are feeling proud and grateful to still be here and able to continue to run our programmes uninterrupted. It has been a tough year on many fronts for us and we haven’t been able to do as much as would have liked to: this year, for the first time since we started 19 years ago, we have seen a drop in the number of scholars we have been able to support through education. This is partly due to the more difficult fundraising environment but also due to the rising costs of education in our programme countries (and the requirement for most students in higher education to have a laptop). However, thanks to you, our wonderful supporters, we continue to have an amazing impact on young lives in Kenya, Lesotho and Uganda through education.
So we wanted to take a moment to share a few of our 2025 highlights and spread a bit of good news and Christmas cheer!
