Sunday 23rd May was a very special day for us as Amar Latif in his exclusive interview with the Sunday Mirror talked about why Rafiki Thabo Foundation means so much to him. Amar met two of our graduates when he climbed Kilimanjaro to raise awareness and funds for our work in 2023. Meeting Ayiesa and Derek who with our support escaped desperate poverty through education, moved Amar deeply and brought home to him how fortunate he is. Amar says: “If I’d been born outside the UK, my blindness could’ve meant I ended up begging on the streets.”
