Today’s the day!
This morning at 07.54 Amar Latif presents the first of three transmissions of our appeal to radio 4 listeners across the country – and we are beside ourselves with anticipation and excitement!
We do so very much hope that you will be tuning in to listen live this morning – don’t worry if you miss it though as it will be aired again this evening at 9.27pm and again on Thursday at 3.27pm. You can also listen anytime and make your donation at any time on our BBC R4 Appeal page – live until 23.59* on Saturday 27th June.

For every £270 raised in the appeal we will be able to continue the education of another vulnerable child in Kenya. £90 can pay for a term at secondary school, and £22.50 for a month. And – the first £6,000 donated will be matched by a generous longstanding Rafiki Thabo supporter – so for every £1 donated, we will receive £2.
So much rides on the success of this appeal – 42 young lives could be about to change forever as they are able to continue with their education, with the opportunity to fulfil their potential, pursue their dreams and embrace the opportunity to in turn help support others. So we were delighted to have further press coverage – this time the Yorkshire Evening Post.
We would love your help this week to spread the word and get people listening! If you haven’t yet done so, please forward on this email to anyone you think might be interested or engage in our social media campaign to get those algorithms working in our favour and extend the reach of our appeal.
Thank you so much for helping us make this incredible opportunity a fabulous success for Rafiki Thabo Foundation!
With all our best wishes,
Your Rafiki Thabo team x
*Please note that any donations made to this link after 23.59 on Saturday 27th will go to next week’s BBC charity! So from Sunday 28th June please use our website to make your donation (you are of course welcome to do that this week as well!)
