The measure of this impact can in part be assessed numerically – number of Scholars assisted, value of funds raised, amount of funds distributed. On this basis alone the figures demonstrate clearly that in 2016 Rafiki Thabo has continued to go from strength to strength. However the truest assessment of achievement and performance perhaps lies in the testimony of the Scholars who have been assisted and their communities. These testimonies are actively collected throughout the year, through our annual impact survey, social media and Trustee visits to our programmes. Recently we heard from Caroline Chepkorir in Kenya:
“Thanks to Rafiki Thabo Trustees. You have made me to be the kind of woman I am today. What you
have done to me nobody can take it away. I now have the courage and I’m ready to champion for the
rights of girls and women in my country. Thanks a lot.”
